Janet (McClellan) Lewellen has data that Lavina Harned married Abt 1854,
Captain James McClellan. They moved to McDonough Co, IL in 1857.
The had son Preston H. McClellan. There is a marriage record for him in the
state of IL. Adams Co, in 1877. According to Janet Lewellen's grandfather,
Preston had 3 children: Fredrick, Hazel, and Janette McClellan.

Janet (McClellan) Lewellen says Lavina's obituary in the Macomb Journal,
Macomb, IL Monday, Aug 6, 1900. James McClellan was a farmer in Industry, IL
and later was an officer in the U.S. Colored Troops in the Civil War. After the
war he was in the mercantile trade, then real estate and insurance. They were
members of the local Methodist Episcopal Church in Macomb, IL.
